Forum on Land Resource Management for Sustainable Development

The 3rd National Postgraduate Forum for Natural Resource Asset Accounting

(Notice of the First Round)

Natural resources are the foundation of human being and development, and their rational use are related to human well-being and sustainable development. Natural resource asset accounting is a necessary way to discover the value of natural resource assets, and it is also an important instrument to improve the national natural resource asset management and to establish a systematic and complete ecological civilization system in the new era. Relying on the national key project of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education "Research on the Theory and Method of Natural Resources Assets Accounting in China", the College of Land Science and Technology at China Agricultural University, the Land Economics Branch of China Land Science Society, the Youth Working Committee of the China Land Science Society, and the editorial board of “China Land Science” and the Global Land Programme (GLP) will co-organized the Forum on Land Resource Management for Sustainable Development (i.e., The 3rd National Postgraduate Forum for Natural Resource Asset Accounting) on December 18, 2022. The forum aims to promote academic communication on land resource management in the field of governance and natural resource asset accounting, and to improve innovation abilities of graduate students. This forum will invite international well-known scholars to deliver keynote speeches and to hold round-table academic communication. The topics of the Forum will cover the theoretical and technical system of natural resource asset accounting, the principal-agent mechanism of national natural resource’s ownership, the practices of ecological value accounting and ecological compensation, natural capital studies, biodiversity, and carbon neutrality studies. Thus, we sincerely invite researchers and postgraduate students to participate in the forum actively.

1. Forum Theme: Land Resource Management for Sustainable Development

Theme note: With the increasingly diversified demands of human activities on the use of natural resources, the use of natural resources and land management are facing unprecedented pressure. We should pay more attention to the overlooked area of public policy. Sustainable land use has been related to human wellbeing. The governance of land resources plays the critical role in ensuring food security, reducing poverty and achieving high-quality economic and social development. Face to land degradation, urban expansion, conflicts of natural resource uses, policy makers and academical researchers are try to seek for relevant policies and instruments for comprehensively managing land resources and striving to achieve sustainable land use.

For the format and requirements of the paper written in Chinese, please refer to the guideline of submission paper of "Chinese Land Science" editorial board, while for English papers, please refer to the guideline of submission paper of “Journal of Rural Studies" "Journal of Land Use Science" , please also send the paper (in a doc, or docx form) to the email：lrm@cau.edu.cn,  with marks of “中文” or “English” in front of the title of the file.

The distinguished articles identified by the organizers will be recommended to submitted to journal of "China Land Science", "Journal of Rural Studies" and "Journal of Land Use Science".

The deadline for submissions full article is December 10, 2022.
